There is plenty happening in Dunstable town centre at the moment, with several new businesses joining our High Street and bringing fresh ideas, new flavours and more reasons to visit. From family-friendly activities and home furnishings to exciting new food options.
Families can soon enjoy the Play & Stay Café at 4 High Street North, which has transformed the former Ruby Tuesday premises into a bright and welcoming indoor play area and café. Created for young children and their grown-ups, it offers a fun and relaxed space where families can play, meet friends and enjoy a drink or bite to eat. The café is also breastfeeding friendly and aims to create a supportive and playful community for local families. Before its official opening on Monday 31 August, the team will be holding an open day on Saturday 29 August from 10 am to 4 pm, giving families the chance to look around and try the facilities. Free 20-minute drop-in sessions will be available throughout the day, making it the perfect opportunity to see what the new venue has to offer.
Over on High Street South, Sabba Furniture and Carpets has recently opened at number 95. With more than 30 years of experience in the furniture industry, the business offers a wide range of furniture and flooring, along with services such as free assembly, delivery and friendly customer support. The new store provides even more choice for local shoppers and is another great example of a business choosing to invest in Dunstable town centre.
Food lovers can also look forward to the arrival of Mniam Mniam in The Quadrant Shopping Centre. Due to open in late July, the restaurant will offer a mix of Indian, Indo-Chinese and international dishes, bringing even more variety to the town’s growing food scene. We are looking forward to welcoming the team to Dunstable and, of course, sampling some of their delicious food once they open their doors.
It is not just new shops and restaurants that are bringing something fresh to the town centre. Eastpoint Fish now visits Dunstable every Wednesday as part of the popular Bites on The Square. Trading from 7.30 am to 2.30 pm, the mobile fish van brings fresh fish directly from Lowestoft to the heart of the town centre. It has already proved popular with customers and offers yet another reason to stop by The Square during the week.
Whether you are looking for a family day out, shopping for your home, trying a new restaurant or picking up fresh fish for dinner, there is always something new to discover. We are delighted to welcome these businesses to Dunstable and wish them every success as they become part of our growing town centre community.
