Local residents looking for work, a career change or new opportunities are invited to attend Dunstable’s free Job Fair this October.
The Don’t Let Dunstable Die Trust (DLDD) will hold its next Job Fair on Wednesday 14 October 2026, from 2 to 3.30 pm at Methodist Church Halls, Dunstable, LU6 3SN.
Since the first Job Fair in 2023, the event has continued to grow and is now held twice a year, giving local people regular opportunities to meet employers, charities and support organisations.
More than 27 organisations have already booked stands for the October event, including the Police, TUI, NHS, Neville Funerals, Peabody, Flexistaff, National Highways, DWP, Central Bedfordshire Council and Dunstable Town Council, with more organisations expected to join.
The Job Fair is a friendly and informal way for people to discover local vacancies, speak directly with employers and find out about the support available. Whether you are looking for your first job, considering a career change, interested in an apprenticeship or simply want to explore what opportunities are available, there will be something for everyone.
The event also provides a valuable opportunity for local charities and organisations to showcase their work and speak to people interested in volunteering, while businesses can promote vacancies and meet potential new employees.
The Job Fair has already helped people take important steps towards employment and volunteering. One visitor went on to join the police after previously being a full- time mum. Another young person had an interview with Signpost at the Job Fair and was offered a job the very next day, where she continues to work today.
Volunteer Holly also gained confidence through getting involved and volunteering at the Job Fair and now volunteers with Dunstable Connect club.
With more than 200 people attending the last Job Fair, DLDD is encouraging residents to come along this October.
The event is free to attend, with free parking available from 1 pm at Ashton Square Car Park.
Come along, meet local employers and organisations, discover new opportunities and take the first step towards your next chapter. You never know where one conversation could lead.
