Personal Statement:
I have been a resident in Dunstable for the past 7 years. Formerly from North London and lived in Hertfordshire for 17 years
Graduated with a bachelors arts honours degree in English Language and Literature at the Open University. One of the highlight disciplines of my undergraduate degree was creative writing. Since my English degree; I have become an author, and in 2021 – self-published my first book on Amazon called: The Right Kind Of Justice
In 2020, I graduated with a postgraduate masters degree in public administration at the University of Birmingham. As part of the masters degree – I studied Democracy, Governance and Participation, Leadership in Public Services, Managing in a Political Environment, Managing Public Money, Partnership and Collaboration, Performance Management, Programme and Project Management, Public Management and Governance in a Changing World, research design, and Strategic Management, which I’m sure will serve some purpose during my time as councillor.
I have taught politics and current affairs at a Pupil Referral Unit to disengaged young people at risk of permanent exclusion from their mainstream setting. In addition, I am a fully trained mindfulness practitioner and teacher delivering a curriculum in schools that teach children and young people skills in how to focus, concentrate, sit still and pay attention more skilfully in the classroom.
My employment involves delivering interventions to children and young people with specific learning difficulties (SLD) and social emotional and mental health (SEMH),which also includes school transition. In 2023, I successfully rolled out a Transition Package to a variety of schools we offer a service to in Central Bedfordshire.
Like my fellow colleagues, I have a keen interest in the history and development of our town, the services the Council provides, and the many events it stages for all our residents.

Personal Statement:
“I have lived in Dunstable since 2021, when I moved here with my wife and dogs. I stood for election because I wanted to see local government do its part to improve the fortunes of our town and its residents. My priorities are addressing the cost of living crisis and improving the services Dunstable Town Council offers its residents. In particular, I want to enhance our town’s character with more beauty and greenery in public areas and seize the opportunities of the Net Zero transition for our town. I am working with my fellow councillors, our brilliant community groups and the council’s passionate officers to make Dunstable a better place to live for all.”
