Medieval Keyring

£3.00

This George and the Dragon is made from lead-free pewter and is a model of the mounted St George slaying the dragon. It is supplied on a quality key-chain.
In medieval times a badge of St George slaying the dragon would have been a souvenir of a pilgrimage to Windsor. The Royal Chapel there contained relics of St George and was the centre for an important order of knights, the Order of the Garter. The cult of St George was particularly popular at the end of the fifteenth century.
