As we reach the end of January and the Christmas decorations come down, our attention turns to the exciting programme of free events and activities planned for 2026.
The events team is busy curating a fantastic series of celebrations in our beautiful, award-winning parks. We are delighted to announce that Dunstable Live will return with an exciting line-up, including a special celebration of the Queens of Pop. Be sure to follow our Facebook posts for announcements on performers and timings.
Party in the Park will also be back in July. While the headliner remains a secret for now, I’ll be sure to keep you updated. For the first time, Middle Row Markets will be joining both Dunstable Live and Party in the Park, demonstrating our commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs and local independent traders.
Middle Row Markets will return on 14 March, and I will share full details of the exciting activities planned in my March article. This year, we have 27 markets scheduled, 17 of which will be event markets featuring free activities for families. I am pleased to announce that we will also return with a two-day event as part of Ashton Square Day. Of course, we will once again host our much-loved Christmas Twilight Market, taking place across three magical evenings in December. We also have additional dates for Middle Row Markets, including a new date in September for the Soap Box Derby. This exciting event, which launched in 2025, will return to Priory Gardens and The Square on Saturday 5 September.
We know how much you enjoy your Street Food Heroes, and we are delighted to confirm they will be joining us in Dunstable on the third Thursday of each month from March to September, 4 pm to 9 pm.
Talk of the Town will be landing on your doorstep very soon, so be sure to keep hold of this edition as your guide to Dunstable Town Council’s free events. You can also stay up to date with the latest information and additional events by following our Facebook page, including activities throughout the year at Bennett Memorial Recreation Ground, as well as the full programme of events hosted by Dunstable Town Council’s Community and Young People’s team.
We hope to see you at our first market in March, followed by our first park event of the year in Priory Gardens on Saturday 18 April, celebrating St George’s Day. Here’s to a fantastic 2026 event season in Dunstable!
