Saturday 27 June saw thousands of music lovers gathered in Grove House Gardens in Dunstable as part of Dunstable’s summer of live music. This year’s highly anticipated Dunstable Live event celebrated the ‘Queens of Sound’, featuring a line-up of tribute acts voted for entirely by the public.

The crowd enjoyed a non-stop celebration of music from iconic women, bringing incredible energy, singing, and dancing to the heart of the community. It was a powerhouse of talent from start to finish, keeping the momentum and excitement high all afternoon long.

Amy Alive opened the show with an incredible tribute to Amy Winehouse, performing timeless classics like Valerie and Rehab.

The One and Only Adele brought the house down with emotional power ballads, spanning Adele’s earliest classic hits to her latest chart-toppers.

Taryn Charles as ‘Simply Whitney’ delivered a flawless tribute to Whitney Houston that had the entire crowd singing and dancing along to every high note.

Kinisha as Tina Turner kept the energy electric, performing ‘Simply the Best’ and other high-octane Tina Turner classics.

Spice Forever closed out the evening in style, bringing ultimate 90s nostalgia with a spectacular Spice Girls tribute set.

To top it all off, the sun shone brightly throughout the day and it was wonderful to see the community coming together and thoroughly enjoying themselves.

Beyond the main stage, Dunstable Live offered a vibrant festival experience for all ages. For the very first time, the popular Middle Row Market joined the event, showcasing a brilliant array of local traders selling unique crafts, bespoke gifts, 3D prints, baked goods, and even specialty treats for dogs.

Families also took advantage of a wide range of activities, including a free crazy golf course, face painting, and children’s rides.

"The atmosphere was absolutely incredible, and it was wonderful to see so many families and friends coming together, enjoying the fantastic music, supporting local traders, and celebrating the start of our summer events season. Events like Dunstable Live truly showcase the best of our town, and seeing thousands of smiling faces out in the sunshine enjoying themselves is exactly what community is all about. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to make it such a memorable afternoon." Town Mayor Cllr Richard Attwell who attended the event said

Dunstable Town Council would like to extend thanks to the performers on the day, stall holders, caterers, St John Ambulance, Dunstable Town Council staff, BBB Group, Home Counties Toilets, SRM Security and Luton Waste Services for help keep the park tidy.

The summer of live entertainment continues next month, and everyone is welcome to attend the town’s next free event. Party in the Park will take place on Saturday 18 July in Grove House Gardens.
