Dunstable Town Council, Central Bedfordshire Council and Cash Access UK are working together to ensure residents of Dunstable continue to have access to essential banking services.
While work is underway on the town’s permanent Banking Hub at The Quadrant Shopping Centre, a temporary hub will operate at The Dunstable Centre Library. The hub will be open to residents Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm, and will be officially opening on 18 March 2026.
The temporary hub will provide residents and local businesses with access to essential face-to-face banking services, including depositing and withdrawing cash, paying bills, and seeking support with everyday banking needs.
“With all the bank branches having closed in Dunstable, this hub will serve as a vital place for residents and local businesses to access important services such as withdrawing and depositing cash, paying bills and getting face-to-face help with their banking. I’m pleased that this temporary hub will ensure support remains available in the town while work progresses on the permanent Banking Hub.” Town Mayor of Dunstable Cllr Sally Kimondo
Once the permanent hub at Unit 12, Broadwalk in The Quadrant Shopping Centre is ready, it will replace the temporary facility and provide a long-term location for shared banking services in the town.
