🦁 Summer Adventure 2026 – Whipsnade Zoo! 🦒

We’re excited to announce our first Summer Trip of 2026 for the young people of Dunstable!

Join us for a fantastic day out at Whipsnade Zoo on Monday 27 July 2026, from 9.15 am to 3.30 pm. It is the perfect opportunity for young people to explore the zoo, discover amazing animals, make new friends, and enjoy a fun-filled day during the summer holidays!

🎟️ Who can attend?

This trip is open to:

• Young people aged 11 to 19 years old
• Young people with SEND up to 25 years old

If your young person would like to join us, simply book a ticket to secure their place!

📍 Trip Schedule

🕤 Meeting Time: 9.15 am
Please meet the Detached Team at Grove Corner. We will gather everyone together before walking to the bus stop on West Street (outside Barnardo’s) to catch the 9.52 am bus to the zoo.

🚌 Returning Home:
We will catch the 2.53 pm bus back to Dunstable, arriving at St Mary’s Church bus stop.

🎒 What to Bring

To help everyone have a comfortable and enjoyable day, please make sure your young person brings:

• 💧 A reusable water bottle
• 🥪 A packed lunch and snacks
• ☀️ Weather-appropriate clothing (such as a hat, sunscreen, raincoat or umbrella, depending on the forecast)
• 👟 Comfortable shoes for lots of walking

🚨 Please note that this activity is only for young people who live or attend education in Dunstable. Unfortunately, any sign ups who do not meet this criteria would have their tickets cancelled. Please contact grovecorner@dunstable.gov.uk for any informations.

🚨 Please bear in mind spaces on our trips is limited, if the participant can not attend the event and do not inform us with at minimum 24 hours notice the participant may be refused attendance to trips in the future to make our sign ups fair for everyone.
