Sunday Concert

The last Sunday Concerts of the year takes place on Sunday 9 August at the Bandstand in Grove House Gardens.

Starting at 12 pm, come down and listen to the Beati Vocal Ensemble, a professional vocal ensemble from the UK and a talented local choir with a diverse repertoire spanning jazz, swing, pop, classical, choral, musical theatre and much more. With a passion for performing a wide range of musical genres and styles, Beati bring something for everyone and are sure to entertain audiences of all ages.

The final concert of the series will feature Five Star Swing. This versatile and accomplished trio recreates the exciting sound of the classic jazz era – as seen on TV’s “Children in Need” featuring Chris & Simone Smith. Chris has had a varied career which spans writing for Jazz FM, BBC Radio Big Band, NYJO and playing has taken him from Jazz festivals to Top of the Pops. Saxophonist and vocalist, Simone, has performed with the New Squadronaires, recorded with Paul Weller, Paul Merton TV show, TV Film Lace 2 and played Lead Alto Saxophone in the later days of the Ivy Benson show band. A versatile ensemble performing a selection of swing and jazz music. Expect a lively performance from the Trio with vocals mixed with a range of instruments from the keyboard, saxophone, and trumpet.

The Rotary Club of Dunstable will also be attending fundraising and providing light refreshments on the day. Do come down, say Hi and learn more about what they do in the community!
