Dunstable’s Soapbox Derby
Dunstable Town Council are thrilled to announce Soapbox Derby returns in 2026, 5 September, from 12 noon in Priory Gardens.
This action-packed FREE family event is a chance to take part in something truly special and is ideal for all ages. Watch teams race their hand-built karts down our 100-metre custom track, all hoping to cross the finish line in record time. Each kart will be unique, with designs as wild and wonderful as the teams behind them– so there’s plenty to cheer! Don’t worry about missing any of the action, a giant screen will show the races live throughout the day, so you can sit back and enjoy the show.
And the fun doesn’t stop there! After the derby, stay and relax with a special outdoor cinema film screening to end the day in style. There’ll also be live entertainment, music, food and stalls to browse. Whether you’re cheering from the side lines or soaking up the atmosphere, it’s set to be a brilliant community celebration.
