Full Council (inc. ACM)

Council meetings are normally held five times a year.  As with all meetings, the meetings are open to the public to attend in person or watch via the YouTube stream.  Meetings consider major items, as well as recommendations from committees which require full council approval.

The Annual Council Meeting is held in May.  At this meeting, councillors elect a Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the year, along with committee chairs and representatives to outside organisations.  The Annual Meeting is more formal than other meetings; the Mace Bearer leads councillors to their seats, and the Town Mayor and Town Clerk are fully robed.
