Returns, Refunds and Shipping Policy

  1. Purpose

This policy sets out the terms under which Dunstable Town Council manages returns, refunds, and shipping for items purchased through the online shop, Priory House Gift Shop, workshops, events, and activities.

  1. General Returns and Refunds

2.1 Items purchased from the online shop or Priory House Gift Shop may be returned within 28 days of purchase, provided that a valid receipt is presented.
2.2 Customers are responsible for return postage costs
2.3 Refunds will only be processed to the original payment method.
2.4 Returned goods must be in their original condition and packaging.

  1. Exemptions

The following items are excluded from returns and refunds:

  • Frenchic Paint (no exchanges or returns permitted).
  • Priory House Gift Shop items including Earrings, Loose Leaf Tea, Honey, Showcase shelving items (no exchanges or returns permitted).
  • “We Bake, You Decorate” workshop (non-refundable).
  • Tickets purchased for events and activities at Bennett’s Café and Community Hub (non-refundable).
  • Tickets purchased for events and activities to do with Young People and Summer activities (non-refundable).
  • Workshops at Priory House – refunds will only be issued if at least one week’s notice is given prior to the start date of the workshop.
  • Pitch bookings can be rescheduled and refunded for games that have already been booked.
  • Older people’s lunch clubs (Good Companions Club and Lunch Bunch) refundable
  • Older people’s breakfast club refundable
  • All other older people’s activities non refundable
  • Pitch bookings – Games that have been paid for but can celled can be rescheduled by contacting mott@dunstable.gov.uk. If a refund is required please contact accounts@dunstable.gov.uk

 

  1. Shipping

4.1 All in-stock items will be dispatched within three working days of purchase.
4.2 Standard shipping will be via Royal Mail 2nd Class.
4.3 Customers may upgrade to Royal Mail 1st Class delivery at an additional cost.
4.4 Dunstable Town Council is not responsible for delays once items have been dispatched to Royal Mail.

  1. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects a customer’s statutory rights under UK consumer law.
