Dunstable’s much-loved Twilight Markets return this December, bringing three unforgettable evenings of festive shopping, entertainment, and community celebration to The Square and Middle Row.
The festivities begin on Thursday 11 December from 4 to 9 pm, presented in association with Street Food Heroes, who will be serving up delicious dishes from eight talented food traders. The markets continue Friday 12 December from 3 to 8 pm, offering more than 45 stalls filled with crafts, Christmas gifts, toys, cakes, treats, and hot food. Saturday 13 December will feature over 50 stalls, showcasing fantastic Christmas gifts, festive treats, and hot food from much-loved local traders from 3 to 8 pm.
Now an established highlight of the Christmas season in Dunstable, the Twilight Markets offer a true festive night-market atmosphere while proudly supporting community groups and independent makers. At the heart of the event is the Community Stage, which gives emerging performers a 45-minute showcase to share their talent. Across all three evenings, audiences can enjoy performances from church choirs, local bands, and solo singers, each adding their own sparkle to the Christmas celebrations.
Dunstable Town Council will once again offer a range of free family attractions, including UV-glow face painting, the children’s Waltzer ride, and Santa’s Grotto, where young visitors can meet Santa and receive a small gift. This attraction has been kindly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Dunstable.
Every Twilight evening brings something new, with different stalls and entertainment to ensure the best local Christmas shopping experience in the area. On Friday 12 December, Grove Corner, (the town Council’s youth centre), will be joining the event, an ideal opportunity to find out more about their services for young people.
Throughout the three Twilight evenings, the town’s 30-ft Christmas tree will shine brightly as festive lights fill The Square and Middle Row, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere of music, hot food, warm drinks, and free entertainment for all ages.
So, wrap up warm, gather your friends and family, and join us in Dunstable for three magical nights of festive fun. And don’t forget, Street Food Heroes will be with us on Thursday 11 December with an irresistible selection of street food to enjoy as you watch our local performers and celebrate the start of the Christmas season on The Square.
