Posted on

Dunstable is set for a lively half-term this October, with a fantastic programme of activities to keep children, teens, and families entertained. From thrilling days out to creative seasonal fun, there’s plenty on offer.

The fun begins on Saturday 25 October with the Dunstable Spooktacular Halloween Market in The Square from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm. Families can enjoy a packed day of seasonal stalls, free face painting, ghoulish games, and a spooky walkthrough experience complete with pumpkins, skeletons, and UV effects. Children can also take part in a spooky hunt with prizes. The day will also feature the Happy Halloween Show by Imajica Theatre, interactive performance with singing, dancing, and sensory props, designed to entertain children of all ages. Best of all, this fang-tastic community event is completely FREE.

Then half-term week kicks off on Monday 27 October with a trip to Thorpe Park Fright Nights. Open to ages 13+, it runs from 2 pm to 10.30 pm; with just 30 spaces available, booking is essential, sign-up links on our Instagram or Facebook accounts @grovecorner or www.dunstable.gov.uk/event/thorpe-park-trip/

On Tuesday 28 October, young people can travel by coach to St Albans for the Pioneer Indoor Skate Park Trip, from 12 pm to 4 pm, limited to 30 places. Wednesday 29 October brings a double bill, a Swim Party from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm with snacks and refreshments (40 spaces), followed by a spooky Ghost Walk in the evening from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.

Meanwhile, Bennett’s Café is running themed activities Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm daily. These include Autumn Crafts (Monday), Spooky Halloween Crafts (Tuesday), Autumn Messy Play (Wednesday), a Halloween Trail (Thursday), and a Build-a-Bear Halloween experience on Friday (pre-booking required). www.dunstable.gov.uk/event/build-a-spooky-bear/

Finally, on Friday 31 October, families can enjoy a free Pumpkin Party at The Quadrant Shopping Centre from 10 am to 2 pm, with a family-friendly show packed with treats and surprises.

With so much happening across town, from markets to ghost walks, Dunstable is the place to be this half-term for spooky fun, creativity, and community spirit.
