Salary: £20 per hour
Dunstable Town Council funds and organises a wide range of events for the local community. To support our event communications after each event, we are looking for a photographer who can capture the essence of the occasion. This includes crowd shots, consented small-group or individual photos of the public, as well as images of performers, catering concessions, and stalls/stall holders. You will also be required to support the Marketing and Communications Officer by capturing and sending video clips of the crowd and performers.
Requirements:
- Deliver high quality photography for Dunstable Town Council to utilities on a variety of digital and printed media
- Supply Dunstable Town Council with all photos within 2 days after the event
- Adhere to Dunstable Town Council’s photography policy
- Collaborate with volunteering junior photographers
- All delivered images and videos will be owned by Dunstable Town Council; no watermark or credit is required
- A high-visibility vest must be worn during all event operations for safety and identification purposes
- DBS check (position involves working in public spaces with members of the community)
- Attend all Dunstable Town Council events listed in the table below together with a pre-event briefing.
- Have Public Liability Insurance
- Show a timed log of your working hours/editing hours
- Access to your own photography/editing equipment

Pre-Event Briefing:
You must be available for a pre-event briefing the day before the event, either in person or via Microsoft Teams, to ensure alignment of event requirements and expectations.
Please provide the following when applying:

- Description of Approach: A brief explanation of your photography style and description of the approach you take.
- Portfolio of Relevant Work: Showcase your style and experience capturing crowds, outdoor locations, and small groups.
- Online Presence: Website or social media links displaying your work.
Ownership and Usage Rights
- All assets will be owned by Dunstable Town Council
- Dunstable Town Council has the right to use photos across all digital and printed material
