Community & Young People’s Sessional Worker

Employment Type: Part-time, 16 hours per week
Salary: £26,403 pro rata SCP 7 - 12

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in your community?

Dunstable Town Council is excited to recruit a permanent, part-time Community & Young People’s Sessional Worker to join the Youth and Community team!

This is a unique opportunity to engage with young people in their own spaces across the town, building positive relationships and providing meaningful support where it matters most. Working directly within the community, you will:

  • Build trusted relationships with young people
  • Plan, prepare and facilitate engaging activities and opportunities
  • Provide access to youth support and guidance
  • Work in partnership with local organisations and professionals
  • Contribute to strengthening youth provision across Dunstable and surrounding areas

We are looking for someone with experience of working with young people, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while being part of a supportive team.

This role includes regular evening work (currently three evenings per week), as well as some weekends and school holiday sessions.
