The Splash Park is currently closed for the season. Bennett’s Café & Community Hub will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays 10 am to 4 pm, Fridays 10 am to 3 pm and Saturdays and Sundays 10 am to 2 pm. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Located next to the splash park, Bennett’s Café offers a tasty selection of hot and cold food, snacks, and drinks. Whether you’re grabbing lunch, a quick snack, or a refreshing drink while the kids play, Bennett’s Café has something for everyone!

Seating is available indoors and outdoors. We accept both cash and card payments.

Over 55 Breakfast Club

Every Tuesday 9.30 am to 11 am, Bennett's Café & Community Hub

A great way to meet new people, participate in activities and hear from guest speakers.

Weekly cost £5, including a range of breakfast options.

The 2 Minute Litter Pick Station

Located right outside Bennett’s Community Hub & Café, our #2MinuteLitterPick station makes it easy for everyone to do their bit to keep Bennett Memorial Recreation Ground looking its best.

Whether you’re grabbing a coffee, enjoying the splash park, or just taking a stroll, you can spare 2 minutes to make a difference:

  •  Borrow a litter picker

  •  Use a bag provided

  •  Collect any litter you spot

  •  Pop it in the bin

  •  Return the kit

Community Initiatives

Local groups and neighbours lead fun workshops, meet-ups, and projects, turning the café into a hub. Food & Refreshments available to purchase from the café!

Adult Craft Club

Every Thursday, 6 pm to 8 pm

Come and meet like-minded individuals in community-led sessions for socialising and getting creative. Food and drink available to purchase. FREE to attend, just turn up.

Winter Warmth Hub

No booking needed just drop in for a chat over a warm drink!

If you’re aged 50 or over and live in Central Bedfordshire, the Winter Warmth Agents are here to help you stay warm, save money on energy bills and feel healthier and happier through the colder months.

This free service is provided by Central Bedfordshire Council in partnership with Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity, Dunstable Town Council, and Bennett's Café & Community Hub.

Canine Coffee Club

First Saturday of each month, 10 am to 12 noon

A friendly, monthly meet up for local dog owners and walkers. Bring your four-legged friend along for a relaxed morning with other dog lovers enjoy a coffee, a chat, and plenty of wagging tails.

Good Life Sorted

Good Life Sorted - BLMK will be visiting Bennett's Café & Community Hub who connect older adults and people with disabilities to trusted local Helpers offering support with cleaning, shopping, transport, companionship, and more.

Home Education sessions

We facilitate a range of activities for parents and carers who are home educating, offering both educational and social opportunities. From science experiments and nature walks to art sessions and group projects, our aim is to support families in creating a rich and engaging learning environment. All activities are parent/carer led. Sessions take place Wednesday and Friday, 12 noon to 2 pm in term time only.

Whilst there is a small car park located at Canesworde Road, we advise using Ashton Square Car Park, located just off Bull Pond Lane (LU6 3BE) when visiting the Splash Park. It’s only a one-minute walk. * charges apply* Please note, there are parking restrictions on the roads surrounding Bennett Memorial Recreation Ground.
