With no official engagements last week, the Mayor, Cllr Liz Jones, has continued to support local organisations and businesses and make plans for the remaining few months of her term of office.

The 24-hour Dart-a-thon planned for 3 – 4 February at Creasey Park has generated a lot of sponsorship from local businesses and Liz has been busy promoting each one through her social media platform, Liz Jones Community,  on Facebook. Planning continues this week to ensure the event raises as much for charity as possible.

In addition to this,  she has arranged meetings for the forthcoming week with the Salvation Army to make plans for her Civic Service in April, the theme of which will be “Thanks to the Community”.

A second planned meeting is with the Dunstable Foodbank team to engage in early conversation regarding reducing food waste.

Tickets remain available for the Efes Lunch on the 29 January and can be booked via this link https://www.dunstable.gov.uk/event/efes-lunch/
