Tea Rooms due to reopen outside from Monday 12 April 2021
Following an extensive risk assessment and associated interventions, Priory House Tea Rooms will reopen on Monday 12 April 2021 at 10.00 am.
We will operate a Table Service and all seating will be outdoors on the Terrace only. Please note that there will be no indoor seating at this time.
This will be a fair weather service – so if the weather is against us i.e. too wet or too cold, then the Tea Rooms will not be open or may close early.
Open from 10.00 am – 4.30 pm daily (closed on Sunday)
Last orders 4.15 pm drinks and 3.45 pm for food.
Please check in with the QR code on entry or give your details at the table to the waitress after being seated.

We are offering Afternoon Teas now between 12 noon – 3.00 pm.
Please note booking cannot be taken.
The fully licensed Priory House Tea Rooms offer a limited menu outside on the Terrace with range of hot meals, paninis, sandwiches, wraps, cakes, cream teas and pastries.
Speciality coffee and a range of herbal and flavoured teas are also available. Why not try our wonderful Afternoon Tea set in the historical 13th century Undercroft?
Any visit to the tea rooms is greatly enhanced by the wonderful view across the beautifully kept, Green Flag Awarded, Priory Gardens. The gardens provide a serene setting for the historically important Priory Church of St. Peter, where the court that annulled the marriage of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon was held.
GIFT VOUCHERS ARE AVAILABLE AT PRIORY HOUSE FOR THE TEA ROOMS AND CAN BE PURCHASED FROM THE TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE.
A selection of buffet menus is available for christenings, funeral teas and other gatherings, or as part of a booking for corporate events and small groups. Our Jacobean Rooms makes the perfect setting of small private functions of up to 24 people.
