Starting Salary £27,041 rising to £27,741 pro rata – starting at £14.05 per hour (pay award pending).

The Council has been successful in securing a grant from Historic England as part of the High Street Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ) regeneration scheme in order to revitalise part of Dunstable’s historic high street. Now in year 2 of the programme, the Council is now looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to assist in the delivery.
Dunstable Town Council is seeking to recruit a suitably experienced person with community engagement skills and an interest in local heritage to the post of High Street Heritage Action Zone Assistant.

Dunstable Town Council is one of the largest town council’s in the country and one of only two town council’s in the country to have secured HSHAZ funding.
The post holder will assist the programme manager in the delivery of the programme, including community engagement and linking with Cultural Consortium. Both aim to deliver a range of exciting community based projects that helps promote the important history of Dunstable’s high street.
Based at Grove House, the post holder will work in partnership with Historic England, cross department teams, the Cultural Consortium and other community groups and active individuals.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with other and support the development of community partnerships with a range of stakeholders.
