Your Role
The Town Council is looking for an enthusiastic person with a keen interest in horticulture and environmental sustainability who is committed to maintaining Green Flag parks and open spaces and town centre floral displays to a very highest standard. The individual will also have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in grave digging and burial services.
The duties of the post will include a wide range of grounds maintenance operations including fine turf management, planting and maintenance of shrubbery, herbaceous and annual floral display borders, litter picking and bin emptying, amenity grass cutting and strimming and sports pitch maintenance. The post holder will also be expected to work some additional hours as required to assist with weekend grounds duties.
About You
If you have an NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture and/or at least two years’ experience of general grounds maintenance and/or professional gardening and enjoy working in an outdoor environment, then we would like to hear from you. A full driving licence is also essential for this role.
