Salary £18,795 per annum for 37 hours per week pro rata to a fixed term contract. Based predominately at Dunstable Cemetery but may be required to work in other areas of the town.  You may be required to work additional hours to assist with weekend grounds duties (by rota) and periodic events. 

The Town Council is seeking to recruit two Temporary Grounds Assistants to be part of an award winning grounds team for the summer period April to early November 2019. Tasks will include grass cutting, litter collection and cleaning, assisting with grave digging and burials, and general grounds maintenance.

Applicants will need to demonstrate that they are able to use a wide range of grounds maintenance and cleaning equipment, are approachable and helpful, have a ‘can do’ attitude and have good customer service skills.

Applicants should have previous experience of working outdoors on grounds maintenance, and must have a full clean driving licence. A relevant professional, technical or vocational qualification to NVQ Level 1 would be an advantage.
