Bedfordshire Day Talks – The Dunstable Swan Jewel

To commemorate Bedfordshire Day and the 60th anniversary of the Dunstable Swan Jewel (a unique brooch was lost in the Medieval Dunstable and found again in 1965), there will be FREE talks held in Priory Church.

11 am talk ‘Who Lost the Dunstable Swan Jewel’ – a look at all the candidates – by Jean Yates

1.30 pm ‘Looking down a kaleidoscope at a roundel: the Renaissance world of Dunstable’s Canon William Cotson’ – a talk announcing a unique discovery by Stephen Williams

Plus, see and hear about the 1965 dig and find out what happened to it afterwards.

Refreshments and a light lunch will be available at the church.
