Torchlight
It’s that time of year when we look forward to lighting up Dunstable with our fabulous high street Christmas lights and the Christmas tree in The Square. This year Dunstable Rotary Club have generously sponsored the 30ft Norway Spruce in The Square and Caremark Central Bedfordshire have sponsored the Christmas Carols and Torchlight Procession event.
So, join us Friday 24 November when the annual Christmas Carol and Torchlight Procession brings the community together with family carols, food, drinks, and a spectacular light show. Make sure to come along from 7 pm as there is no better way to start this Christmas season. The Square will be filled with the school choirs of Dunstable who will walk from Priory Church to The Square to sing carols. Meet Father Christmas and the panto stars from Jack and Bean stalk. Count down with us for the lighting of the Christmas Tree lights followed by a fantastic light show finale!
Along Middle Row, there will be an array of food and drink stalls that will be serving hot food and tasty treats. Enjoy a hot chocolate or even a mulled gin from our local traders. Hot food includes Turkey baps from Lisa Roberts Catering and tasty burgers from our Food Heroes traders. Leave room for those sweet treats, why not try a pancake or a doughnut or two!
Please be aware, that High Street South will be closed from the crossroads junction of West Street/Church Street/A5183 to Friars Walk from 6 pm to 9 pm, with a diversion in place for the Christmas Carols and Torchlight Procession.
We look forward to you joining us for the start of the festive season in Dunstable.
