The King’s Coronation

The King’s Coronation will take place Saturday 6 May, Dunstable will be celebrating with street decorations along the High Street and Court Drive as well as a giant screen in Priory Gardens.

Join us in Priory Gardens to watch the live broadcast of the Coronation of King Charles III. Bring your friends and family, picnic, blankets, and chairs to watch the live broadcast, with several additional FREE children’s activities.  There will be onsite catering, a bar and VIP tables at the screening of this historic event. VIP tables are £80 per table of four with Antipasti box, bottle of Prosecco, flags and decorations and a commemorative teaspoon. On Monday 8 May thousands of organisations will be coming together to mark the King’s Coronation by creating volunteering opportunities for residents to help their wider communities. The Big Help Out will have opportunities for everyone to join in, no matter what you are good at, there’ll be something to suit helping hands of all shapes and sizes! Can you spare an hour or even the day, join in, lend a hand, make a change https://thebighelpout.org.uk/ Also on Monday 8 May, between  12 noon and 3 pm Priory Church will be open to a variety of charities and volunteer groups, so you can find out more about local volunteering opportunities.

Finally, Priory House will be offering Coronation Afternoon Teas from 24 April to 5 May. A feast of traditional British savouries, sandwiches, cakes and scones for £22.50 per person/£12.50 per child.
