October Events

Annette Clynes

October 5, 2022

Dunstable Town Council’s fantastic summer events have been and gone, but we are so proud of the reaction and positive messages that we have had from our events this summer.  My personal highlights this year have been Roar into Archaeology and Ashton Square Day. We are busy planning our winter programme of events and I will soon be updating you with all the details of these events.

However, you don’t have to wait until Christmas for some free family fun, as we have two free events this month!

Middle Row Market will be looking into the past on Saturday 15 October.  Puku B Education and Heritage – Home   will be offering free activities and showing how prehistoric buildings were made.  We also have a mosaic artist who will be running a hands-on activity creating a mosaic of Priory House. We need lots of people to help with this piece, so come down and get involved.  Once competed it will be displayed in Priory House for all to admire. As part of the HSHAZ programme we will have information on Priory House and the works taking place. We will also have our wonderful face painting again as we did on Ashton Square Day, which is Free! As well as all the free activities we have over thirty stalls attending our Middle Row Market. Don’t forget there is also free parking in Ashton Square car park after 1 pm on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

We know Halloween is around the corner and we have our joint event with The Quadrant this year on Friday 28 October. Join us for spooky crazy golf, songs and stories on our live stage, crafts, and games. This free event is from 10 am to 2 pm, why not join us in your spooky costumes and join the fun. Priory House will also be offering their Halloween afternoon tea from the 22 October to the 5 November.
