Heading East and West from the main crossroad is Church Street and West Street. Both roads are steeped in history and are home to local independent shops and businesses. The area is full of local independent restaurants and takeaways with cuisines from around the world. Within a short walk you can visit over eight countries and revel in their food delights.

We start in Church Street with Chez Jerome who are a family-owned French restaurant offering lunch and evening French cuisine http://chezjerome.co.uk/menus/wine-list/ .  Just a few doors up you’ll find Leveloff – a specialist Romanian supermarket offering fresh breads, cakes, and meats www.facebook.com/leveloff.co.uk/.

West Street starts our world tour in Italy with a family-owned delicatessen and café. Lombardo’s has been a firm favourite for many shoppers and coffee lovers over the years. Lombardo’s is open from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm Tuesday to Saturday.  Next door is Kopernik a Polish supermarket with a fresh meat counter and Polish foods, open, 8.00 am to 10.00 pm every day.  We move to India with authentic Indian cuisine from Spice Lounge who are open Tuesday to Sunday from 5.30 pm for takeaway and dine in.  Opposite the police station is Olive Garden offering mediterranean cuisine and Sunshine restaurant offering Chinese.  As we head back down West Street don’t forget to visit Yum Yum Café, and Café Nostalgia for a full English breakfast. Next door to Café Nostalgia is The Way who offers a warm welcome and home-made cakes and soup.

Experience the cuisines from around the world down Church Street through to West Street in Dunstable!
