In 2021 we celebrated the Council for British Archaeology (CBA) Festival of Archaeology https://www.archaeologyuk.org/festival.html as part of the High Street Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ) community engagement activities. The HSHAZ is a four year programme running until March 2024, so we are delighted to be celebrating the CBA Festival of Archaeology for the second time as part of the HSHAZ.
We will be exploring Dunstable through the ages from the prehistoric period to present day. The Dunstable Festival of Archaeology is a special one day event celebrating all things do with archaeology. On Saturday 30 July Around the World in Priory Gardens from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm will feature the Dunstable Festival of Archaeology, a special one day event celebrating all things to do with archaeology. There will be lots to see and do for all ages with entertainment, activities, show and tells and the opportunity to hold replica artefacts. So come down to Priory Gardens to enjoy it’s beautiful grounds as well as meet our special guests and experts from various local archaeological groups.
