Dunstable Joint Committee Shop Front Accreditation Scheme 2017
Following the success of the inaugural Shop Front Accreditation Scheme for 2016, the Dunstable Joint Committee is again promoting the initiative for 2017.
The purpose of the scheme is to recognise those businesses whose shop fronts contribute positively to the town centre trading environment and to encourage others to think about their kerb appeal.
If they meet the minimum criteria, business will be awarded Bronze accreditation with those exceeding the minimum having the potential to be awarded Silver or even Gold!
A full breakdown of the criteria is available at the bottom of this page.
The results of the 2016 scheme were as follows:
Lisa Roberts Catering
Spicer & Co
The Cake House
Le Bonne Salon
"The Shop Front Accreditation Scheme was a great success for 2016. This scheme has been designed to promote the best in the high street and encourage others to consider improving their offer to local shoppers. It makes a huge difference if shops are presented well and if everyone played their part the town would look great. The Dunstable Joint Committee hopes to build on the success of the 2016 scheme with more businesses taking part and having a positive impact on our town centre”.
Councillor Carole Hegley (Chairman, Dunstable Joint Committee).
The deadline for applications to the 2017 scheme is Friday 30 June with judging to take place in July.
An application is available to download at the bottom of this page, along with more information on why businesses should apply and businesses can also contact Dunstable Town Council to take part as follows:
