Dunstable Town Council charges an average Band D council tax of £175.21 per year for Dunstable householders. For this charge the Council delivers a number of quality of life services with the aim of making Dunstable a better place to live in and work.
The services the Council provides are as follows:
The Green Flag award winning Dunstable Cemetery and Associated burial services – Covering just over 6 hectares, the Council is responsible for managing all burial functions and maintenance associated with the Cemetery.
Provision of six allotments sites at Meadway, Westfield Road, Pascomb Road, Catchacre, Hillcroft and Maindenbower
Management and maintenance of the Green Flag award winning Priory Gardens and Grove House Gardens
Management and maintenance of all parks and open spaces in Dunstable including:
• 11 recreation grounds
• 11 play areas
• Two sports pavilions
• 10 football pitches
• 2 tennis courts
Provison of all town centre floral displays and co-ordination of Dunstable’s entry into the Anglia in Bloom competition
Town Ranger service – operating across the town and the town centre this service tackles a range of environmental issues such as graffiti removal, fly tipping, street cleansing and pavement washing

Bennett’s Splash and the Splashside Café
Creasey Park Community Football Centre – comprising 1 x stadium pitch, 8 x community pitches, 1 x full size synthetic pitch, bar, catering and changing facilities, function rooms
Priory House – comprising the Priory House Tea Rooms, gift shop, tourist information centre, meeting room and exhibition space
Older peoples day care services - at Beecroft community Centre and Creasey Park Community Football Centre
Younger people’s summer activities programme
Grove Corner Youth Facility,
Community Projects and outreach community engagement – such as the Men in Sheds scheme, older peoples Big Lunch, coffee morning drop-ins, community litter picks
Large scale events programme – including Party in the Park, Dunstable Live, Dunstable Fireworks display, Proms in the Park, Sunday Band Concerts and Priory Outdoor Pictures
Twice monthly special markets – held along Middle Row these markets operate from April to December and are held on two consecutive Saturdays each month
Town Centre services – such as Christmas street lighting, Ashton Square toilets and Christmas shop front competitions
Civic events – such as Remembrance Parade and Service, Civic Service and various Town Mayor functions
