Priory House is home to the Tourist Information Centre for the Southern part of Bedfordshire. The friendly, helpful team of staff are available to assist with any tourism related enquiry you may have.

As the first port of call in Priory House, The Tourist Information Centre staff can provide information and literature on Priory House itself including talks, demonstrations and events taking place in the house and gardens,  as well as in Dunstable throughout the year.

Dunstable is well known for being a town rich in history and heritage and not forgetting its myths, mysteries and legends, staff can help to plan ghost walks and talks in the town centre and advise on other local walks through the beautiful surrounding countryside.

 

A wide range of leaflets are available on attractions and places of interest in the local area , including accomodation guides, local transport information, train and bus timetables, in addition to literature on  the surrounding counties. The Tourist Information Centre also stocks a selection of brochures that cover nationwide destinations including holiday resorts etc.

 

The Tourist Information Centre offers a booking service for National Express coach journeys and First Capital Connect Day Save train tickets. The Day Save tickets are currently priced at £40.00 for up to four people or £15.00 per adult and £2.00 for a child. Up to four children are able to travel with one adult. To be eligible for the tickets, journeys must be undertaken after 10am Monday to Friday with no restriction on weekend travel. Cost of National Express coach tickets will be dependent on destination and dates.

Alongside the Tourist Information Centre is the unique gift shop, which offers a vast range of cards and gifts, including traditional puzzles and games, local crafts and pottery. Whether you are looking for just a souvenir or a special gift you are sure to find it here.
