Dunstable in Bloom
Dunstable in Bloom is a local campaign run by Dunstable Town Council in partnership with Promoting Dunstable. In 2010 Dunstable entered the regional Anglia in Bloom competition for the first time and was awarded a Gold Medal thanks to the hard work of Promoting Dunstable, Dunstable Town Council, local residents, businesses, schools and community groups.
The campaign in 2011 built on the success of the first year and once again Dunstable Town Council retained the gold medal!
As well as achieving Gold Medal status, Dunstable was also nominated, and received certificates of nomination, in four special categories as follows:
Best Conservation Project (Blows Down)
Best Industrial Area (Woodside Industrial Estate)
Best Local Authority Floral Display (Ashton Square and the High Street)
Best Garden for Special Needs (Glenwood School).
