The Teen Council holds unofficial meetings every 1-2 weeks at The Place on High Street North on Wednesdays. We conduct most of our business at these meetings. At our official meetings, which happen usually every month, we meet with members of the Town Council to update the Mayor and other Councillors in attendance of our activities and progress so far. These meeting are also held on Wednesdays but take place in Grove House.

For each meeting we have an agenda which lists all the items (matters) we are to cover, and during the meeting all discussion is recorded for later inclusion with the meeting minutes. All of the Teen Council’s meeting agendas and minutes are available for public viewing (see links below) and for Teen Councillors to check what has occurred in their absence. Agendas and the previous meeting’s minutes are given out before each meeting, so that Teen Councillors know what will be discussed.

The Teen Council welcomes members of the public in attending our meetings, however an email/written request must be made to the Town Council first (see Contacts section). The message will be relayed to us and if a member of the public wishes to address the Teen Council this can be scheduled into the agenda and the Chairman will invite the individual(s) to speak.
