Learn How To Make Mosaics!

You really can mosaic everything! From small tiles to paved areas to table tops to kitchen walls .....if it doesn't move, you can mosaic it! Using stained glass offcuts, Anna Conti a stained glass artist will show you how to make your own mosaic mirror or if you'd prefer, bring a terracotta flower pot to decorate. Tremendous freedom and great fun - just let your imagination lose!

All tools are provided although protective glasses are strongly recommended. You can buy these at a hardware store or at cost from the tutor for £2.50.

Classes start on Wednesday 23 rd November at Priory House, High Street South, Dunstable between 10 am and 12 pm for four weeks.

Starting in January, Cambridge University will be running the following courses:

FRENCH IMPRESSIONISM AND ITS ORIGINS

Margaret Davis

The course will look at French Impressionist painting in the context of the painters and critics whose ideas contributed to the emergence of the revolutionary style which has since become so famous.

10 meetings, Wednesday at 2.00pm from 18 January 2006

WORLD RELIGIONS

Dr Karim Esmail

An introduction to the world’s great religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. We will consider these religions in terms of the (historical) development and their doctrines, ethics, myths and rituals.

10 meetings, Wednesday at 1.00pm from 18 January 2006
