Healthy Eating
Elaine Wilson from Sainsbury's visited the Good Companions Club this week to talk to the group about the importance of Healthy Eating. She brought along various food samples for the group to try. Each member also went home with a bunch of flowers, courtesy of Sainsbury's, which they were thrilled with.
Winter Warmers
Dunstable Town Council recently received a grant of £1000 from Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation to purchase 100 Winter Survival Packs and to distribute them to vulnerable elderly residents of the Town and surrounding area. All members of the Good Companions Club were among the recipients of one the packs which they were very grateful for.
The packs included the following items:
- 1 snuggie blanket
- 1 thermos cup
- 1 warm hat
- 1 pair of gloves or 1 pack of gloves and fingerless gloves
- 1 pair of warm socks
- 1 pack of 4 cup a soups
- 1 packet ‘mug shots’ (pasta snack)

30.04.12 – Maggie Taylor will be visiting the group to talk about the work she does for the Donkey Sanctuary.
