The purpose of the Older People’s Support Service for the over 75’s, is to help aliviate isolation amongst older people by enhancing their skills, confidence and practical abilities to help maintain independent living.
Transport to and from the venue is provided by Central Bedfordshire Council and The Balloon Society for those who require it. (seperate payment)
A two course meal, and the opportunity to participate in a range of activities is included in the cost of the session, which is currently £6.50.
The sessions known as the Good Companions Club run from 10am to 2pm and are available on a Monday at Beecroft Community Centre, Westfield Road, Dunstable. Referral and home visit required.

The Community Drop In
The Mayfield Centre Community Drop-in every Tuesday 10am to 3pm with a different activity each week between 11am and 12noon. Specialist advice available for older people – no need to make an appointment, just drop in.
Tuesday 21 February – Julie Kent will be here between 11.00-12.00 to take an art session.
Tuesday 28th February – Indian Head massage. Anthea Burke will be at the Mayfield Centre between 11.00-12.00 to demonstrate her skills.
