Joint effort results in Business rate reduction
More than 200 businesses in Dunstable will benefit from a reduction in their rateable value following a recent Valuation Office announcement. The reduction – which will come into force within the next two months - works out at between ten and 20 percent which will equate to a similar reduction in their business rates.

Shop Window Artwork
Dunstable Town Council has launched an innovative new scheme to display artwork in the windows of empty town centre shops, with the support of Dunstable College and the Quadrant Shopping Centre.

Town Council Achieves Second Quality Status Award
Dunstable Town Council has become one of the first Town Council's in Bedfordshire to receive the Quality Town Council Award under the new criteria set out by the six national stakeholders that include the Commission for Rural Communities, the Department for Communities and local Government, the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the Local Government Association, the National Association of Local Councils and the Society of Local Council Clerks.
