The Party in the Park is a FREE event for the town to celebrate all that is good about Dunstable, staged to coincide with 25th anniversary of the Town Council.
The 80’s themed Party in the Park will take place in Grove House Gardens on 8 May 2010, 12 noon – 8.30pm.
The event starts at 12 noon with a family picnic in the park, with a food court showcasing some of the town’s restaurants along with a beer tent. There will also be music & dance events, a look-a-like competition of 80’s pop idols and like the carnival it is proposed that there will be fairground attractions, charity and side stalls, and children’s workshops.
It is hoped that all of the above attractions are achievable with community involvement and working in partnership with town centre businesses, youth organisations, promotion groups, and Central Bedfordshire Council.
