A Town Ranger for Dunstable

Town Ranger
A new service hits the streets and open spaces of Dunstable this month.
The Town Ranger Service set up by the Town Council will be out and about in Dunstable doing all those little jobs that we all often walk or drive past thinking 'why does somebody not clean that up or sort that out'.
The Town Ranger, Jamie Hodges, who is pictured below with his very distinctive van, will become a familiar sight on the streets of Dunstable as he goes around removing graffiti and fly tipping, cleaning up grot spots, cutting back overgrown vegetation and cleaning pavements.
Councillor Terry Colbourne, Chairman of the Grounds and Environmental Services Committee said. ‘The introduction of the Town Ranger will allow the Town Council to respond quickly and effectively to tackle environmental eyesores around the town. This new service will help to make Dunstable a better place to live, work and visit’.
The Town Ranger will be equipped with a wide range of tools including a high power pressure washer, a litter vacuum, a strimmer and many other useful implements so that he can carry out a wide range of works and repairs across public areas.
If you notice something which you think needs doing you can contact the Town Ranger on the freephone number 0800 0130 350 or email info@dunstable.gov.uk
