The Town Mayor

Since he left education Councillor Mullany has always been involved in banking and credit and for the past 19 years has worked for a major Building Society, where he is Head of Credit Risk.

He has actively participated in sport locally and been a Member of Dunstable Downs Golf Club and Dunstable Tennis Club.

He is honoured and privileged to be Town Mayor and is looking forward with enthusiasm to promoting the town and representing Dunstable. If any local organisations, groups, churches or schools have a function that they would like the Mayor to attend, please extend an invitation through his Secretary, Michele Markus on Telephone 01582 890605 or e-mail michele.markus@dunstable.gov.uk

This year the Mayor has chosen two local organisations as his nominated charities, Glenwood School, which does a wonderful job teaching and looking after children with severe learning difficulties and Keech Hospice Care, which provides support to the terminally ill and respite care for both adults and children and their families. Various charity functions will be organised during the year to support these organisations, further details will be available once arrangements have been made.
