Council Finances

In 2009/2010 Dunstable Town Council operated its services on a total net budget of £1,741,207. This was primarily derived from Council Tax receipts (precept of £1,669,610) and income from services provided after use of reserves.

The budget for 2010/2011 relies on a precept of £1,770,901, equivalent to a current Band D Council Tax levy of £139.65. The total net budget for 2010/2011 is £1,783,060. The budget relies on generation of £338,874 of income targeted from various services including income from services provided and use of £12,159 from reserves.
